Asus Lamborghini VX3Asus Computers a reputed motherboard manufacturer and company know for making quality components just launched its Lamborghini VX3 laptop in the country.

Before I begin to start bashing the laptop, ill run you through a couple of specs, a very portable size with a 12.1" WXGA 1280 x 800 screen, the processor is a Intel Mobile Penryn Core2Duo T9300, running at 2.6GHz, has 6MB of L2 Cache at 800MHz FSB based on the 45 nanometer technology, 4GB DDR2 667 RAM and a nVidia GeForce 9300M G 256MB DDR2, Windows Vista Ultimate 32.

Asus Lamborghini VX3 Cover RemovedWell firstly having the RAM running at a slower FSB than the processor, this will bottleneck the entire system make it run at a speed lower than what the processor is handling. When you put together a system of a similar configuration you would be able to do it for little over a lakh, Asus has priced this laptop at a whooping 2 lakhs.

If you take a look at the benchmarks done on the Asus VX3 it’s not really impressive. The graphics card is not the top of the line version, so a game like Crysis recommends a display setting of 1280x800 with no anti-aliasing. According to the 3D Mark test, the laptop scores 1600 Marks, which is not too impressive.

Crysis System RecommendationWhen you hear that this laptop can only keep itself going for only 67 minutes while playing a DVD you would have to be extremely rich and stupid to buy this when you have so many better performing cheaper alternatives available in the market.

I configured a Dell XPS to something quite similar for just above a lakh with taxes. If you value a sticker so much and the brand name, go ahead and buy it to be the next laughing stock in the geek community.
