Tata Indicom Broadband ScamsWhat do I say, I have had one of the most dreadful experiences with Tata Indicom Broadband and now its enough. I have lost my patience the stress they are causing me is effecting not only my work but my day to day life.

Over the last two weeks my Internet connection has been dropping in the nights, I have not been able to log in to the net.

I have had two really frustrating experiences with retards at their customer service, yes if you have not heard by now Tata Indicom hires retards. What makes me say that? I wanted to place a complaint as I was getting a request time out error while trying to ping the gateway. This woman from the call center says,

Retard 1:

Call Center Woman: Sir can I give you one basic tip.
Me: If its to plug my cable in and out I am not interested.
Call Center Woman: No sir, no sir!
Me: Ok! Whats it?
Call Center Woman: Sir can you remove your Ethernet card wire and put it back in!
Me: (@$$ 0) Just give me the complaint number!

Now the thing is Retard 1 was trying her best to be nice, which I found extremely hilarious so it dint piss me off but read on.

Retard 2:

Retard two is a smarter retard, he confuses the shit out of you because he knows nothing. Fresh from the mill and just learning to grind the flour. This conversation lasted for over 30 Minutes estimated time he put me on hold 20 Minutes.

Here's a screen shot, of my usage time its a start time and an end time now my net was not working at that time so, oh yeah this retard has a name Shridhar Ekkuluri from the Pune Call Center I wanted it cause he just seemed like I would end up being very frustrated after speaking to him.Tata Indicom Broadband Account Summary

Now you see the highlighted estimated time of usage on 29th of Feb is 33 hours now I did not have the Internet and I asked how is this possible? He said I don't know this is what the system says. I had taken data from the 21st of Feb to the 5th of Mar, Shridhar has been adding up the timings of the end columns and passing them on to me.

Now Kalindi is the woman from their Bombay office who calls me up every time I place a complaint to find out if my net is not working, shes actually the one who figured it out when I asked her how come I have 33 hours usage on the 29th. I asked her if they record conversations at their Pune call center. She said she dint know, how do they maintain quality standards? I have no clue as far as I can see it they do not!

So what about all the time when my net goes down and I complain. When my net goes down every night I want my validity to be extended. By now all of you know I work from home and I have a back up computer in case one goes down.

So the only possibility when I am not online is that my net is not working don't I deserve a time extension for this?

Well according their new policy, if you complain and there is Zero activity on your account you get a validity extension. So that means if your net is not working but you manage to log on for half an hour you do not get a validity extension.

I clearly told Kalindi that if my net is not working for 7 days and each of the days I manage to log on for an hour, I will not get a validity extension. My net needs to be on 24/7 if its not you will extend my connection for the time it is off and I complaint.

That's not so bad is it? Now how about this, Tata Indicom disconnects your connection when you are logged in and idle. Many of us have experienced this and written about it in forums. The problem is Tata Indicom's Anti Customer policies are not located all in one place, and perhaps no user apart from me and Ajoy Eric Lal have researched and found so much data.

So on my new Tata Indicom Broadband blog will be dedicated to shedding light on how many people they are driving mad.

Sorry for this rant, there are many better things to write on but this is the ISP I am dealing with and I need to be online to write. Recently I saw an advertisement on television for Satellite Internet. I was in my friends place do not recall the name of the provider, does anyone know where I can get a dish Internet service in India?

I know what you are going through. I too have a tataindicom connection. There is one or another problem once every two weeks. And if I call the complaint number, it reaches some hyderabad call center. And the guys out there doesn't speak clear English. But lately they have improved with a faster response to complaints.

Jims I was facing a problem every night of the week, my Internet was down anyway. I have created a blog dedicated to tata indicom broadband, their faster response is of no use if the connection keeps going down again.

Thanks for posting your opinion I will be more than happy to have more people online opening up about how unhappy they are with Tata's Service.

TATA Indicom is really a junk company, they are really stupid, and their management is un-educated, i am also suffering from their bad policies, they are trying to give me only 2 days extention while i calculage arround 15 - 20 days.... what can i do i dont know if any one know plz give me suggesiton on siccnoida@yahoo.com thanks.

I guess you can add Airtel also in the same list..
If the load on their server increases they down their servers without prior notice saying they are doing an upgrade. I have ended up with so many sleepless nights calling the Airtel customer care. All they say is we are upgrading the system.How often a ISP upgrade their servers??? everynight? and to hear their customer service agent say this you have to be in queue for 20 mins minimum and they would not be saying thier servers are down once i say my net is down.They keep asking you all about your billing details and all nonsense details which a customer service agent need not know for this issue.

I dont see any best ISP in India.

add Reliance Broadband too...
They Bill you for imaginary data uploads and when you ask the customer care about it they say they don't maintain a separate record of downloads and uploads but only a cumulative record of downloads+uploads...

So i decided not to pay the bills under any circumstances until they give me the detail of each byte they charged me for...
Screw them all.....
