If you recall I had written about making money with Kontera a while ago and considered knocking them off from the blog as the revenue generated was not too much, and their publisher reporting system was fluctuating and the way their script works on Opera is just frustrating.

So why is Kontera still running on our Blog? The day that Kontera was down and I wrote about it, they were renovating. They have put in some new features which helps publishers identify the keywords generating clicks as well as the URL where your readers clicked.

Lets take a look at the keyword report, if you notice that Kontera converts well for technology keywords, so I would recommend a tech blog to incorporate Kontera and test how they function for a while. I'm not saying that your earnings will multiply at a fast pace but there will be a boost especially if you rely only on AdSense, its definitely worth a try.

Kontera has bagged quite a few Indian advertisers, its now nice to see a lot of advertisers apart from the repeated advertisements that were not providing any value-added services to our visitors earlier. Although most of our visitors are from USA, its good to see a blend of both to cater to a wider audience. So now with the the new advertisers and the keyword list you should be able to generate more money with Kontera by implementing some simple strategies like writing more keyword-oriented articles.

To do a statistical study on the same, you can see the difference in the blog stats when I wrote a post and this post. Please note that I have not been implementing any strategies or writing more tech content, so these stats will only reflect changes made by Kontera.

Except now if you see the first screenshot has a date range of two weeks while the next has that of a month. The impressions are more or less the same, but there has been an increase in traffic which is contributing to this factor as well.

However, the CTR (clickthrough rate) seems to have fallen, there could be many reasons for that, the first one that comes to my mind is more advertisers and too many keywords being used to display advertisements.

Next is the urls where you generate the most conversions, you have the article and you have the keyword shown to you. So if you really want to maximise your earnings from Kontera they actually provide you with the data to do so which is splendid if you ask me.
