There are many sites online that can help you find out how a site performs how many visits or page views they get in a week or a month. Most people have heard of
Alexa, if you have not now you do know.
Web Archive keeps a history of the sites on the Internet. Using this tool you can find out what changes each website made and analyze why they made this changes.
For example take a look at the website on a date and choose a date range of six months and see what changes they have made, this could give you some good tips on how to design your site and learn from other sites mistakes.
So how much information would you like to know about it? How many blogs have been written about it would be a good way to start!
Let me introduce you to a site I just came across. Site Info this site brings together a couple of tools that can help webmasters judge their competitors and also help learn from them.

Site Info Integrates:
Alexa Traffic Rank
Safety Review (Site Advisor which was bought over by Mc Afee a while ago)
Official Website Link (The link to the site you are checking)
Del.icio.us Social Bookmarks
Furl Social Bookmarks
MSN Link Popularity
Google Link Popularity
Yahoo Link Popularity
Blog Posts (Uses Technorati search)
Domain Ownership (Whois)
Old Archive (Web Archive)
If you want to see how it works, click here!
All this information can be got for free so make use of it! You should also try out Domain Tools for more cool stuff.

I’ve come across several ardent cricket fanatics in my life, but not as delirious as this Scotsman, who sold his house to finance his trip to Australia for the ongoing
Ashes.
England were pummelled by Australia in the first Test at Brisbane, but Allan Fairlie-Clarke, 31, doesn’t rue his decision one bit.
An air-conditioning engineer by profession lost his job, so the only way to get to one of the biggest cricketing event of the year was to sell his house in Essex for £180,000. Allan has vowed to go to every day of the test. That’s height of insanity!!!
Free Ashes ticket, anybody

An Australian cricket fan is offering a free Ashes ticket to any English girl (under 35), who is willing to be a beer hostess for him and his friend during the third day of the Boxing Day Test match at Melbourne. What does the girl get in return for being a beer wench for a day? A ticket free of cost in a prime spot in the stadium. The advertisement on Gumtreeread as follows -
2006 Ashes
4th Test-MCG - Tickets Available
Ticket(s) are FREE-
Day 3 Thursday, 28th December 2006-MCG
Great Southern Stand-level 2, row(B)- best seat in the MCG

Have to be female-under 35
Have to be willing to get the rest of the group-
6-7 people-(girls & guys) drinks/food for the day.(We pay for our drinks/food, you pay for yours) will be a fun day......
Have to be a fun person, love Cricket, love beer.

A part of Bhavika's article on the
ICC Champions Trophy has found its way to
The Telegraph India.
Mandira Bedi is another target of fan frustration. And yes, the blog boos from the women are just as loud. The Temptress (http:// fractalenlightenment.blogspot.com) is categorical: “The Extraa Innings is a blunder… It makes an absolute mockery of the game... Charu Sharma is bearable, but Mandira really needs to start making some sense.” Her advise is “chuck the glamour factor, get some sophistication. The majority of the cricket fans want to hear the experts speak”.The complete article can be read

What Bhavika has to say:Meeting
Nick was an enthralling experience, not only for me but for hundreds of people who turned up at Tawasi Hall, Metro, to witness this great soul. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a young man (Nick’s helper) holding Nick in his arms and placing him on the table. He is filled with boundless joy and happiness. He’s a wonderful and powerful speaker and his words have left an indelible impression on my mind. The 23-year old Nick has this aura around him, and he emanates this indescribable energy and vibes.
He also narrates anecdotes about his journey around the world. A kid once saw him and thought he was an alien, and another one asked him where he had left his arms and legs, and Nick replied, “I’ve left them at home.” A very pleasant personality, indeed. So if you see him around, make sure you give him a hug, because he is also known as the hugging machine.
What Clyde has to say:
Firstly the event was quite unorganised. We had to wait for one and a half hour before it kickstarted. Nick took us off on a humorous start the best joke I liked, was when Nick sits in a car the only visible is his head through the front passenger side window. Once at a traffic signal a car pulled up next to him with a woman who was looking at him through her window.
So he loosened his seatbelt and did a complete 360 on his seat, all the woman could see was his head going round like from the movie exorcist and she started screaming. Nick had massive energy with his voice and it was awesome how intently you begin to listen to him talk.
Its almost like getting into a state of trance where you forget where you are and what you are doing, you are only listening to his voice and it feels like time has coem to a standstill for a moment. Nick preached for an hour and at the end of his session said a prayer. A very powerful prayer that helped you connect spiritually with yourself and God. During this prayer a woman fell unconscious in front of us, and I had got a rush of bliss, I could compare this rush similar to a feeling on psychedelics.
The Born Again Christians that organize the event were from the New Life Fellowship. They handed out pamphlets for people to join them, we did not sign up for it though. The thing is that I feel that the Born Again church can be compared to New Age rock. It’s like they have evolved to capture the youth of the new generation. Their hymns call Jesus the Master of the Universe and Galaxy, which is something people a few generations older will not be able to relate too.
Overall it was a wonderful experience and would love to get high on God once in a while! You can some videos of Nick's testimonies

I came across this lovely site that has been getting quite famous recently. It is a site that has been giving away a paid software or a shareware software for free everyday.
There is a limited time of twenty four hours that you can download the software for free. The software changes everyday so its a good site to keep a watch on. The site also promises to give out some real big softwares as they have become world famous. I belive them, their ranking on alexa has jumped up quite a bit as well as their page views everyday!
Check Current Alexa Stats!
The softwares range from a bunch of games, applications and tools that can help you increase your productivity.
I got to know about Give Away of the Day from this blog!

Challenges and obstacles are a part of life, but how one deals with it is what separates an extraordinary person from the rest. A clear-cut example of such determination, courage and inspiration is 24-year old
Nick Vujicic, a resident of suburban Brisbane, Queensland.
He was born without arms and legs, but that didn’t deter him from visiting places and helping people face challenges of daily life.
His is a true story of inspiration, which has definitely changed my perception of life.
Nick will be in Mumbai tomorrow (November 25, 2006) at Tawasi Hall, opposite Metro theater at 7-9 pm. I am definitely going for it, to witness the presence of a good soul. Come visit him!!!

To know more about Nick’s life, and how he dealt with his impediment, read on. Here he narrates about the various challenges and obstacles he has faced in his short life and his immense faith in God has helped him overcome these problems.
My name is Nick Vujicic and I give God the Glory for how He has used my testimony to touch thousands of hearts around the world! I was born without limbs and doctors have no medical explanation for this birth "defect". As you can imagine, I was faced with many challenges and obstacles.
"Consider it pure joy, my Brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds."
....To count our hurt, pain and struggle as nothing but pure joy? As my parents were Christians, and my Dad even a Pastor of our church, they knew that verse very well. However, on the morning of the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne (Australia), the last two words on the minds of my parents was "Praise God!". Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors we shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.

The whole church mourned over my birth and my parents were absolutely devastated. Everyone asked, "if God is a God of Love, then why would God let something this bad happen to not just anyone, but dedicated Christians?" My Dad thought I wouldn't survive for very long, but tests proved that I was a healthy baby boy just with a few limbs missing.
Understandably, my parents had strong concern and evident fears of what kind of life I'd be able to lead. God provided them strength, wisdom and courage through those early years and soon after that I was old enough to go to school.
The law in Australia didn't allow me to be integrated into a mainstream school because of my physical disability. God did miracles and gave my Mom the strength to fight for the law to be changed. I was one of the first disabled students to be integrated into a mainstream school.

I liked going to school, and just try to live life like everyone else, but it was in my early years of school where I encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference. It was very hard for me to get used to, but with the support of my parents, I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times. I knew that I was different but on the inside I was just like everyone else. There were many times when I felt so low that I wouldn't go to school just so I didn't have to face all the negative attention. I was encouraged by my parents to ignore them and to try start making friends by just talking with some kids. Soon the students realised that I was just like them, and starting there God kept on blessing me with new friends.
There were times when I felt depressed and angry because I couldn't change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter. I went to Sunday School and learnt that God loves us all and that He cares for you. I understood that love to a point as a child, but I didn't understand that if God loved me why did He make me like this? Is it because I did something wrong? I thought I must have because out of all the kids at school, I'm the only weird one. I felt like I was a burden to those around me and the sooner I go, the better it'd be for everyone. I wanted to end my pain and end my life at a young age, but I am thankful once again, for my parents and family who were always there to comfort me and give me strength.

Due to my emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying, self esteem and loneliness, God has implanted a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they have in their life and let God turn it into a blessing. To encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything get in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams.
One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted.
"And we know that in all things God works for the best for those who love Him."

That verse spoke to my heart and convicted me to the point where that I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these "bad" things happen in our life.
I had complete peace knowing that God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all. I completely gave my life to Christ at the age of fifteen after reading John 9. Jesus said that the reason the man was born blind was "so that the works of God may be revealed through Him." I truly believed that God would heal me so I could be a great testimony of His Awesome Power. Later on I was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better. I now see that Glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can't be used.

I am now twenty-one years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector.
I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow.

I have many dreams and goals that I have set to achieve in my life. I want to become the best witness I can be of God's Love and Hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues. I want to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for me to drive and to be interviewed and share my story on the "Oprah Winfrey Show"! Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year. It will be called "No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!"
I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it's God's will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What's worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a "box". The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can't do anything without Him. Once we make ourselves available for God's work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God's!
An extremely moving and inspiring story. It makes me feel that my problems are so petty and trivial compared to his. Nick has also wished to find the right girl to be happily married and with all his heart and faith he believes it will happen.

I often get pangs of wanderlust pulsating through my veins. And I can’t do anything about it, because neither do I have enough money or the time to fulfil my everlasting desire to experience new places.
So what I do is read about other people’s escapades and their adventurous journey and the different places on this planet, and its crazy, believe me… The more I read, the more I realise that there is so much out there to see and explore.
This post is not about my fretful situation, but about a very interesting journey I read about. Marie Javins, a New York-based woman in her mid-thirties took a year off to travel around the world way back in 2001, using surface transport, no aeroplanes. She used freighters, train, bus, donkeys, and whatever local transport was available. Perfect way to experience the local culture and see the place up close.
She financed her entire trip by selling her Manhattan apartment at a staggering price, a real estate windfall!!!
And she braved the entire trip all by herself; she was a solo traveller. Hats off to her, as she jaunted into Sudan and East Africa, that’s quite risky for a woman travelling alone, ain’t it? Marie also maintained an active travel website from the road, which means she had to constantly lookout for an Internet café. To read more, please visit - Marie’s World Tour 2001
Maybe someday I could do that too, become a full-time traveler.

Creative has launched a new firmware for the
Zen Vision M, a major feature is the enabling of the FM recording again which was removed in the firmware 1.50 update.
It may seem funny that Creative decided to reintroduce this option, I guess a lot of people must have been disappointed when this option was knocked off.
What are the other features of this firmware update?Adds language support for Greek.
Adds FM recording (for players with current firmware version 1.50.02 or 1.51.02).
Optimises photo thumbnail capability with Windows Media Player 10 and 11.
Why to Update?
If you had updated to the 1.50.2 or later firmwares, you may have noticed that the docking function when connecting your Zen to the computer had begun to have a mind of its own. This means even when you just want to plug in your player to charge, it would end up docking thus, the screen coming on and the charging process gets extended.
The new firmware gets rid of this annoyance, I feel this is the major reason for Creative launching a new update in such a short span of time. It is nice to own a player with new functions being incorporated continuously into it. I am really glad I do not own an Apple Ipod.

Daniel Tammet lives with extraordinary ability and disability. He can't drive a car or tell right from left. But he can figure out cube roots quicker than a calculator and holds the European record for recalling pi to the furthest decimal point. Daniel is an "Autistic savant" -- a term that refers to individuals with autism who have extraordinary mental skills. But while most savants can't tell us how they do what they do -- Daniel can. He describes in detail what he sees in his head and some researchers believe he can help unlock some of the mysteries of autism. Tammets message to the world? "I memorized pi to 22,514 decimal places, and I am technically disabled. I just wanted to show people that disability needn't get in the way."

This is just a short post on my current state of mind and the situation, which is taking a while to resolve. In life one can face some really tricky situations, on which your future depends on. I am going through such a situation at present, where my career depends on the route I select. I am 24 and don’t really know what I want to do in life. I love to travel and write about my experiences, but unfortunately there is no job that would allow me to do that.
After being in journalism for over three years now, I am thinking of changing my field and want to learn something new and do something more challenging than just write a feature or news-story on various topics. I love writing, but its time to do something that pays me well and what I am actually worth. I’ve put in my papers but the tricky part is after several conversations with colleagues and friends I am in a dilemma. Should I stick to journalism or switch to PR, marketing or advertising…I don’t know.
Am sure everyone goes through that situation at various stages in their life. The good part is that my personal life is at least going fine, with such an understanding boyfriend by my side. But to plan my future with him I need to make the right choice. And besides, select something which gives me job satisfaction and happiness at the end of the day, I am sure of that at least. Well, I really hope that my dilemma comes to an end real soon, because tough times don’t last, tough people do.

Italians are known for their wine and food the world over. I got to experience that today when I went for a Risotto Cooking Challenge where chefs from leading hotels and Italian restaurants participated to showcase their culinary skills.
As delicious as it sounds,
Risotto is the most famous dish in
Italian cuisine, it’s more popular than pastas in
Italy.
Risotto was originally eaten by peasants for breakfast, but it has risen in stature to become a highly regarded restaurant dish
The main and a vital ingredient of Risotto is rice, which is very different in taste and appearance than the rice we use in India. The key to a successful risotto is the rice and the stirring. There are three main types of Italian risotto rice - arborio, carnaroli and vialone nano.
It has a clean look, perfect shape, undefined and opalescent colour, growing from the soil in symbiosis with water in those magnificent, romantic paddy fields in Italy. This simple boiled rice can be mixed with several things – sea food, wines, meat, cheese, mushrooms, vegetables etc.
And yes, making risotto is more difficult than making pastas. But once you learn making a basic risotto, you can make different kinds of risotto then.
I don’t think you can say that you have really experienced Italian food, until you have actually feasted on Risotto. It definitely is my favourite rice dish. So what you waiting for, get a taste of Italy’s favourite dish.

Have a look at the following pictures of some of the most unusual buildings from around the world. I've also included small bits of information on the same. The architecture is certainly mind-boggling. Take a peek -
Fuji Sankei Building in Tokyo
Futuristic aluminium-clad building on the reclaimed land complex of Odaiba in Tokyo bay, housing the headquarters of Fuji-Sankei Communications, the studios of Fuji Television, and Nippon Broadcasting. The structure comprises two towers on a seven-storey base interconnected by a lattice of corridors in the sky, which support a 32-m diameter sphere containing an observation gallery and restaurant.
Longaberger Medium Market Basket in Ohio

The Longaberger Basket Company erected a building that should inspire architects and fill other companies with shame. Photographs don't do it justice. In images, it just looks like another Longaberger Medium Market Basket. On closer inspection you notice that the weave is actually windows, and the basket is 160-times the regular size for a basket. Being there is an entirely different experience. It bends the mind in unusual ways and plays tricks with your sense of perception. How did they do it? With a lot of steel, a lot of stucco, and wood grown, harvested, processed, and installed by the company, itself.
Crooked House

This is not a distorted picture or anything, its a real building. Named aptly, ‘The Crooked House’ was built in 2004 as an addition at a popular shopping center, and is a major tourist attraction in Sopot, Poland. We just wonder what happens when someone who's hallucinating sees this building for the first time. Bad trip, eh!!!
Dancing House in Prague

Here's a building that should really get your attention when walking pass it. The Dancing House is considered as one of the more real controversial buildings in Prague. It was actually designed by a great architect from California, which only proves that he had done some type of hallucinogen while designing it.
The two modern multi-storey buildings, placed elegantly side by side as if dancing, depict an upright man, with a fancy haircut, standing steady, who is stretching his arm out to a gracefully curved lady, twirling to a joyous rhythm, with her flexible legs.
Upside Downer

Take a journey into the unknown with a building called Wonder Works. It's central Florida's only upside down attraction. And an amusement park for your mind, and your stoner friends. This odd building has over 100 wacky interactive exhibits for your entire family to experience. But make sure you free your weed before coming.
Robot Building

The great Bank of Asia is a famous building in Bangkok. It was built way back in 1985, and its robotic appearance is a symbol of banking in the modern world. It also has a special ability to transform into a spectacular robot. Designed by Sumet Jumsai, a Thai architect was opened in 1986. The original inspiration for the 20-story building, complete with ‘eyes’ and ‘antennae,’ came from his son's toy robot. But the building's apparently jokey simplicity masks the fact that the elements in the exterior design have real purpose. For instance, the oversized ‘bolts’ and ‘caterpillar wheels’ serve as sunshades and canopies.
Ripley’s Building

If you saw this picture for the first time, you'd probably thought that it was hit by a massive earthquake. But it wasn't. It looks the way it does is because it was built to reflect the odd 1812 earthquake that measured 8.0 on the Richter scale. The building has now become one of the most photographed in the world because of it.
The Astra Haus

The strange building is actually a brewery in Hamburg, Germany. The floors can move up or down on it's skinny column core. As of now, the unique building has been destroyed. One of it's more famous beer brands was recently bought by a big refreshment corporation. And that beer brand was called Astra.
135 degree angle building

This bizarre house really doesn't have an official name, but it does have a 135 degree angle. So that's what its been called. Unfortunately, the only information available is that this house was built in China or Japan. And that it has a silly pink roof. And if you look real close, you'll notice that it's on a 135 degree angle.
Hotel Sofitel

The hotel is a unique structure, inspired by traditional Japanese temples and the Tree of Life. It features 83 rooms, a French restaurant, bar, gymnasium, heated indoor swimming pool and conference facilities for up to 260 delegates. Guests also have easy access to the Tokyo subway and Skyliner express train servicing Narita Airport.
